家長會訊息 PTA News 
對於11/2 的珠寶展意猶未盡，應許多家長要求，家長會將於11/23 再舉辦一次珠寶展，過節送禮自用皆宜，歡迎各位在2:00 - 4:30到Common Area參觀選購。 
教室 #123 開放為家長休息室， 請各位家長多多利用。 Room 123 is opened for parents to stay during the school hours. 
由於排舞(line dance)日益受到大眾的喜愛，陳垂垂老師在本校開班授課後，家長們把排舞當成鍛鍊身體運動之一，也引起許多共鳴。 陳老師邀請各位華府家長參加一年一度所舉辦的聖誕排舞 Fun Party, 有吃有喝，邊運動，完全免費。
時間：12/13/08 星期六 下午 1:00 - 5:00
地點：華府華僑文教服務中心 901 Wind River Land, Gaithersburg, MD 20878

 2008中文電腦打字識字友誼比賽 
由大華府網路種子師資聯誼會, 美東中文學校協會第五區主辦。比賽分二階段進行。第一階段為打字速度與正確性競賽，第二階段為識字打字競賽。 第一名隊伍頒發獎金300元，參賽同學獎狀各一座。
第二名隊伍頒發獎金200元，參賽同學獎狀各一座。
第三名隊伍頒發獎金100元，參賽同學獎狀各一座。
( 所有參加比賽的同學均可獲得精美紀念品一份。) 校內初賽 (以高中學生優先) 時間: 10/19 3:45 - 4:30 pm 請向各班老師報名。請自備 laptop computer with 微軟注音or 微軟拼音installed。 總決賽 比賽日期：2008年11月8日（週六）2:00~5:00 pm

10/5, 10/12 Parent/Teacher conferences 家長老師座談會將在10/05及10/12分兩次舉行。 10/05 (2:05 - 3:15pm) 小學組(二、三、四、五年級) 拼音班(拼一至拼七)
10/12 (2:05 - 3:15pm) 幼兒組(幼一、幼二、幼三、一年級) 初中組(六、七、八年級) 高中組( 九、十、十一、十二年級)
屆時敬請把握機會，撥冗參加。 WSCLC Parent/Teacher conferences on 10/5/08 and 10/12/08 in the school cafeteria. 10/05 - Elementary (2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades) and all Ping Yin classes
(P1-P7). 10/12 - Kindergarten (K1, K2, K3 and 1st grades), Middle school (6th, 7th and 8th grades) High School (9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades). Please mark it on your calendar and do not miss this opportunity to meet the teachers.
