華章譜四十載,桃李芬芳滿天下。華府中文學校(Washington School of Chinese Language and Culture)於2026年6月14日傍晚,在馬里蘭州洛克維爾市的漢宮餐廳隆重舉行【華府四十 · 感恩有您】40週年感恩餐會暨謝師宴。當晚現場華燈璀璨、高朋滿座,歷任校長、校董、全體教職員工、僑界貴賓及校友歡聚一堂,共同見證這歷史性的里程碑。
當晚活動由廖美琳與潘志中擔任主持人,在溫馨隆重的氣氛中揭開序幕。晚會首先由林岑老師帶領學生林希芮、林希凡帶來氣勢磅礴的《華府40:獅鼓迎賓》,鏗鏘鼓聲表演瞬間點燃全場熱情,也象徵學校四十年來蓬勃發展、生生不息。
隨後,由董事長李中慧、創校董事劉莉莉、校長劉儀倫及僑務委員會委員長徐佳青分別致詞。與會嘉賓一致肯定華府中文學校四十年來在大華府地區推廣中文教育與傳承中華文化所扮演的重要角色,並感謝歷屆董事、教師、家長及義工的無私奉獻,讓一代又一代學子得以在海外學習中文、認識中華文化、建立文化認同。他們表示,學校的成長凝聚了無數教育先驅與社區人士的付出,而這份共同守護文化傳承的精神,正是華府中文學校最珍貴的資產。

為展現學生在中華文化學習上的成果,晚會安排了一系列豐富多彩的表演節目。其中,「書法─現場揮毫 墨香溢華府」特別受到矚目。由楊理安、班純瑞、班誠至、林希芮、林希凡、陳若熙及陳羿珺等同學在王怡閔老師指導下現場揮毫,將「十年樹木,百年樹人」等吉祥題字躍然紙上,展現漢字書法之美,也象徵華府中文學校四十年來春風化雨、百年樹人的教育成果。
音樂與語言藝術節目同樣精彩紛呈。由沈睿恩與沈睿筠同學帶來的《初心知足》歌唱表演,以優美歌聲表達對學校與師長的感恩之情;莊康琳與莊康彥同學表演的相聲《馬到功成 妙語如珠話華府》,則以輕鬆幽默的方式講述在華府中文學校學習與成長的點滴,引得全場笑聲與掌聲不斷。 九年級學生王詠晨以《愛的嘮叨—超能力爸媽在華府》為題發表演講,分享在中文學校學習過程中的親身感受,以及家長長年陪伴與支持的重要性,真摯內容獲得現場來賓熱烈迴響。
晚會另一個高潮是播放《華府近10年成長與蛻變》紀錄短片,透過珍貴照片與影像資料,帶領與會者回顧學校過去十年的發展足跡,見證校務拓展、課程創新及學生人數成長的重要時刻。 並在感恩與傳承的主題下,大會特別頒發「40年資深教職員獎」給蔡雲英老師及「特別貢獻獎」給創校董事李來蘇,感謝他們多年來默默耕耘、無私奉獻的付出為學校奠定了堅實基礎。

隨後,由班敦禮老師與潘志中合唱的《千里之外》,潘志中與黃秀媚演出的歌舞節目《願嫁漢家郎》,以及全體教職員們共同合唱《華府四十載 桃李滿天下》,將現場氣氛推向最高潮。節目不僅展現華府中文學校多元活潑的校園文化,更彰顯全體師生及校友對學校深厚的情感與向心力。晚會最後在溫馨的謝師禮致贈儀式中畫下圓滿句點。

The WSCLC grandly hosted its 40th Anniversary Gratitude Gala and Teacher Appreciation Banquet under the theme "WSCLC at 40: Grateful for You". Held on the evening of June 14, 2026, at the China Garden in Rockville, Maryland, the event brought together past and present principals, board members, faculty, alumni, and distinguished community leaders to celebrate four decades of educational excellence. The gala honored the school's foundational mission of promoting Chinese language literacy alongside deep cultural heritage.
Key Highlights of the Evening:
Grand Welcome Performance: The banquet kicked off with a powerful drumming performance titled "WSCLC 40: Welcoming Guests with Lion Drums," led by instructor Jane Lin and students.
Distinguished Guests: OCAC Minister Chia-Ching Hsu traveled to attend the celebration, praising the school's milestone. Numerous community leaders and VIPs filled the venue to show their lifelong support.
Core Mission Honored: Board Chair Jennifer Lee emphasized the school's 40-year legacy of balancing language studies with cultural preservation, specifically highlighting its devotion to traditional Chinese characters.
Student Cultural Showcases: The evening featured diverse student talent, including live calligraphy demonstrations and traditional Chinese vocal music performances.
Generational Reunion: The event served as a major milestone for the WSCLC Community, reuniting the five original Taiwanese immigrant families who founded the institution in 1986 with multiple generations of local alumni.
Show-Stopping Musical Performances: The celebration reached its peak with a series of musical showcases. Teacher Victor Ben and Charlie Pan performed a duet of "Far Away" (千里之外), followed by a vibrant song-and-dance performance of "Wishing to Marry a Han Man" (願嫁漢家郎) by Charlie Pan and Vicky Huang. The energy culminated with the entire faculty and staff coming together to sing "Forty Years of WSCLC: Students Spread Across the World" (華府四十載 桃李滿天下). Adapted from a popular song "The Story of a Small Town" (小城故事). New Lyrics by Meiling Liao.
Vibrant Culture & Deep Bond: These performances beautifully showcased the school's diverse, lively campus culture while reflecting the deep affection and strong cohesion shared by students, faculty, and alumni alike.
Heartwarming Conclusion: The wonderful evening concluded on a high note with a touching Teacher Appreciation Gift Ceremony, celebrating the unwavering dedication of the educators.
