校內「打字和朗讀比賽」In-school "Typing and Reading Competition"

華府中文學校為了加強學生對中文的興趣與了解，我們於四月十九日在校內舉辦了「打字和朗讀比賽」。全校二百多名學生都參加了這項活動。希望透過這次活動，讓學生在練習打字的過程中提升文字運用能力，在朗讀中體會語言的節奏與情感。

小學組學生們輪流朗讀，用清晰的聲音朗讀文章，有的語氣溫柔，有的充滿活力，大家都展現出自信和用心。初、高中組的學生們除了認字，還加上中文電腦打字比賽。比賽開始時，鍵盤聲此起波落，像一首整齊的樂曲。他們專心地看著螢幕，手指靈活地跳動，努力打出正確又整齊的文字。學校對比賽不只是比速度和準確，更是培養學生專注力與表達能力的好機會，無論比賽結果如何，每一位同學都在過程中學習成長，收穫滿滿。

To strengthen students' interest in and understanding of Chinese, WSCLC hosted an in-school "Typing and Reading Competition" on April 19th. Over 200 students from the entire school participated in this event. It is hoped that this activity allows students to improve their text usage skills while practicing typing, and to experience the rhythm and emotion of the language through reading aloud.

Elementary school students took turns reading, using clear voices to read articles; some were gentle, while others were full of energy, all demonstrating confidence and dedication. In addition to character recognition, students from the middle and high school groups also participated in a Chinese computer typing competition. When the competition began, the sound of keyboards was intermittent, like a well-ordered musical piece. They focused intently on the screens, their fingers moving agilely, striving to type accurate and neat text. The school views the competition as more than just a test of speed and accuracy; it is a good opportunity to cultivate students' concentration and expression skills. Regardless of the results, every student learned and grew during the process, reaping immense rewards.
