September 13, 2026, marks a deeply meaningful day for WSCLC. This day not only welcomed the start of a brand-new school year but also symbolized a major milestone as the school officially entered its 40th anniversary since foundation.

Over the past forty years, WSCLC has consistently upheld its core educational philosophy of passing down Chinese culture and promoting Mandarin language education. Through the combined efforts of successive principals, teachers, parents, volunteers, and alumni, the school has nurtured countless outstanding students and grown into a vital cradle for Chinese language education in the Greater Washington area.

On the first day of school, the campus was filled with an atmosphere of joy and anticipation. Carrying their backpacks, students returned to school with bright smiles, greeting their teachers and classmates with great enthusiasm. Fully energized, the teachers warmly welcomed the arrival of the new school year, looking forward to guiding each student through an enriching and wonderful learning journey.

To commemorate this historic moment, the entire faculty, staff, and student body gathered together to take a 40th anniversary commemorative group photo. Captured through the lens, every smiling face beamed with vitality and hope. This picture not only documented the start of the new academic year but also stood as a testament to the Washington Chinese School's educational spirit of passing the torch and thriving continuously for forty years.

A new school year brings new hopes; forty years of nurturing minds with an unchanging dedication. Let us come together to wish the WSCLC a prosperous 40th anniversary, continued brilliance, and a future built hand-in-hand toward even greater heights.
